Crouching Monk. Taken from the medieval carvings found upon the misericords and supports within the choir stalls of Lincoln Cathedral. This is a most delightful little carving of a cheeky hooded monk crouching down with his knees up high and his hands across them. The monk can quite easily be seen with a definite smile, suggesting that he's hiding but from something not too serious. . This reproduction is taken directly from the original and captures all the fine detail by the master craftsmen that carved this work of art many years ago. Comes with wall fixing and product label. Size (H) 12cm x (w) 9cm. |
